Job Summary: Functions as a member of the Rehabilitation team and provides quality care for patients referred for services by a licensed physician. Supervises Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) in the care of patients and provides education as needed to enhance their clinical skills.

Job Summary: Functions as a member of the Rehabilitation team and provides quality care for patients referred for services by a licensed physician.

Job Duties: Initiates patient care through evidence-based assessment and documentation of findings in the patient s electronic medical record (EMR). Submits a detailed plan of care to the referring provider for approval and signature within 24 hours of completing evaluation. Submits accurate treatment charges daily in the EMR. Maintains treatment records, statistical data, and patient schedule for patients referred for treatment. Monitors patient progress and adjusts the treatment plan and/or makes recommendations for a referral as needed. Supervises Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) in the care of patients and provides education as needed to enhance their clinical skills. Continuously observes all equipment in the department for hazards to assure patient safety. Displays positive behavior, promoting effective interpersonal relationships and enhancing the hospital s image. Contributes and assists in enhancing the productivity and efficient operation of the Rehab Therapy Department. Maintains professional knowledge, licensing, and skills; promotes understanding of the field of occupational therapy. Performs other duties as assigned by supervision.

Weekend Requirements : 1 Saturday standby shift per 13 weeks
