Job Description
Summary/objective
The MFA Theatre Assistant Director Fill-In provides temporary administrative, enrollment, recruitment, and program support for the Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Program during the Assistant Director's maternity leave. This position ensures continuity of operations by supporting student communications, admissions, financial aid coordination, residency planning, faculty contracting, and other program functions from approximately September through December 2026, with planning responsibilities extending into the January 2027 residency and Spring 2027 semester.
Position Term: Training during the first week of Fall 2026 classes. Position begins on or around September 20, 2026 (or upon the start of the Assistant Director's maternity leave) and concludes during the second week of December 2026 (or upon the Assistant Director's return from maternity leave).

Position typically works in an office environment. This position may be performed remotely with regular virtual meetings and communications, with occasional in-person responsibilities as needed.
Physical demands
Requires standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods. Requires frequent computer use and virtual communication. May occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
Travel required
Minimal travel may be required for College business or program-related activities.
