What Youll Do
- Collect blood samples using skin puncture and venipuncture techniques
- Properly label specimens and verify patient information
- Maintain laboratory safety and infection control standards
- Assist medical technologists and pathologists with testing procedures
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment following accreditation guidelines
- Document specimen collection and process data accurately
- Ensure sterile handling of instruments and disposables
- Follow quality control standards and laboratory protocols
What You Need
Required:
- Valid MLS certification or eligible for certification
- Experience in specimen collection and processing
- Knowledge of laboratory safety standards
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred:
- Prior experience in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting
- Familiarity with lab information systems
