Perform, interpret and correlate clinical lab tests by following department protocols, to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. TRAVELER MUST HAVE HIGH PROFICIENCY IN BLOOD BANK AND MUST BE ABLE TO HIT THE GROUND RUNNING WITH MINIMAL/NO TRAINING OR SUPERVISION.

• Prepare specimens for testing, screen patient specimens and analyze patient specimens for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
• Perform quality control procedures and assist in maintaining efficient and effective lab operations.
• Must be an independent worker, but can function in a team setting

Travelers may not take all holidays off. MUST work TWO blocks (if scheduled/needed):

Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and weekend after
Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and weekend after
New Year Eve through New Year Day and weekend after

Local travelers (who reside within 50 miles of facility) will not be considered for this need.

• 3+ years of current MLT, MT or MLS experience - [Required]
• MINIMUM 3 months previous travel experience [REQUIRED] - NON-NEGOTIABLE (more is preferred)
• ASCP, AMT, AAB Certification (NCCT or NHA not accepted) - [Required]
• MUST HAVE HIGH PROFICIENCY IN PHLEBOTOMY - PHLEBOTOMY SKILLS CHECKLIST MUST BE INCLUDED IN PROFILE [Required]
• Hematology, Chemistry and Coagulation experience - [Required]
• Tube Method for Blood Bank (just plain tube, no gel) experience - [Required]
• Micro and Blood Bank experience - [Required]
• Bachelor degree [required]
• Traveler candidate must have their own vehicle. This is a firm requirement.
• Traveler's perm address must be included in profile
• Any/All RTO must be included in profile. ALL SCHEDULING REQUESTS MUST BE MADE AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION. Facility will NOT approve scheduling requests at/after time of offer. Please obtain this information prior to submittal. Requests after offer may lead to rescinded offer
