Temp Assignment Based MRI Technologist

What You'll Do: Temp Assignment Based MRI techs are experienced, proficient technologist within their specialty responsible for providing safe, continuous quality patient care in a variety of settings. The Temp MRI Tech position will pick up PRN shifts (could be up to 40 hours/week) at Charlotte, NC, Region Medical Center locations and could convert to a Novant Health permanent employee after the 9 months.

What We're Looking For:

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or MR Program, required.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in MR, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • NH Medical Center-Certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR) within 6 months of hire, required.
  • NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility - Certified and Registered within 6 Months of hire in ARRT RT(R)(MR), required.
  • Hospital Outpatient Department-Certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR), required.
  • IV Credentialed, preferred.
  • Applicable state license, required.
• Additional Skills/Requirements (required):
  • Thorough knowledge of MRI imaging equipment, Analytical ability and basic computer skills. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Good communication skills.

What You'll Do:

Temp Assignment Based MRI techs are experienced, proficient technologist within their specialty responsible for providing safe, continuous quality patient care in a variety of settings. These MRI techs are temporarily assigned to one unit for a designated number of weeks based on needs of the system. These MRI techs possess the skills, competency, and qualifications, as well as a requirement to work in any Novant Health location. The MR Technologist I will assist physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and safely operating the MR equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans.
