Telemetry Systems Integration Engineer

Position Summary

Our client, a company focused on the design, engineering, sales, and support of telemetry data systems and mission-critical communications solutions, is seeking an experienced Telemetry Systems Integration Engineer. This role plans, designs, develops, tests, and deploys complex systems, ensuring hardware and software components work together seamlessly to meet company and client requirements and technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze user needs and business objectives to design and architect appropriate system integrations.
  • Create detailed integration plans, architectures, and configuration/batch scripts for hardware and software components.
  • Implement and execute tests to verify functionality, identify integration issues, and resolve them.
  • Collaborate closely with software developers, hardware engineers, production technicians, and business line managers to ensure alignment.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure integrations adhere to industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide production support, including systems integration, building, and debugging for production products.
  • Provide applications engineering and customer service support, including onsite troubleshooting, hardware service calls, and RMA support.
  • Support systems engineering functions, including software licensing management, OS image creation and maintenance, and lab equipment setup.
  • Support sales and marketing efforts by building demonstration and loaner systems, and supporting trade shows and customer training sessions.
  • Assist business line managers with quoting, proposals, compliance matrices, and product roadmap development.
  • Research, evaluate, and test new systems to support evolving customer requirements and R&D efforts.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, testing logs, and provide technical support and training to other staff.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong communication skills, both clear and concise.
  • Expertise in software, hardware, network connections, databases (SQL), APIs, and various data formats.
  • Proficiency with integration platforms, middleware, and related technologies.
  • Ability to diagnose complex technical failures and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and deliver on multiple, competing priorities with little supervision.
  • Ability to demonstrate and present products to clients and solicit feedback to understand customer needs.
  • Must be able to qualify for a U.S. DoD Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with installation, operation, and employment of telemetry data systems products.
  • Proficiency with underlying mechanical and electrical principles, including installation and wiring techniques.
  • Knowledge of relevant telemetry standards and concepts.

Education

  • 4-year bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field; or 10+ years of equivalent technical experience in a professional setting in lieu of a degree.

Location: Hollywood, Maryland (location negotiable).

Travel/Deployment Requirements: Minimal travel required.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $105,000 - $135,000 annually
