Telehealth / Hybrid Physical Therapist (PT)Core Medical Center Missouri & Kansas
Compensation: $40.00–$50.00 per hour based on experience, qualifications, availability, and licensure
Core Medical Center is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join our growing multidisciplinary rehabilitation team serving patients throughout Missouri and Kansas.
This position focuses primarily on workers' compensation, occupational medicine, federal injury, personal injury, and motor vehicle accident (MVA) rehabilitation cases. The role offers flexibility through a fully remote or hybrid work model.
Position Overview
The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluations, treatment planning, patient care, documentation, progress monitoring, and clinical decision-making.
The Physical Therapist will provide services through telehealth and/or hybrid treatment models while collaborating with physicians, nurse practitioners, occupational therapists, case managers, rehabilitation technicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Flexible Work Models Fully Remote


  • Evaluations performed remotely when appropriate.

  • Follow-up treatment sessions provided through telehealth.

  • Flexible scheduling opportunities.

Hybrid


  • Initial evaluations may be performed in person.

  • Follow-up visits may be completed in person or remotely.

  • Combination of clinic-based and telehealth care delivery.

Therapists willing to perform in-person initial evaluations may experience improved patient engagement, treatment compliance, and scheduling opportunities.
Responsibilities


  • Perform Physical Therapy evaluations and re-evaluations.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans.

  • Treat workers' compensation, federal injury, personal injury, and motor vehicle accident patients.

  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.

  • Establish functional goals and return-to-work recommendations.

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, employers, case managers, attorneys, adjusters, and healthcare professionals when appropriate.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning.

Support Staff Model
Each treatment session is supported by trained rehabilitation technicians who assist with equipment setup, patient preparation, and treatment support activities under the direction and supervision of the treating Physical Therapist.
All evaluations, treatment planning, clinical decision-making, patient assessments, progress evaluations, and patient care responsibilities remain with the licensed Physical Therapist.
Rehabilitation technicians do not independently provide therapy services, perform evaluations, establish plans of care, or make clinical decisions.

QualificationsRequired


  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.

  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapist in Missouri.

  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapist in Kansas.

  • Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred


  • Workers' compensation experience.

  • Occupational medicine experience.

  • Personal injury or MVA rehabilitation experience.

  • Functional restoration experience.

  • Telehealth experience.
