Telecommunications Operator

Full-time, 40 Hours/week

Evenings, 2:30PM - 11PM

Summary:

The Telecommunications Operator Answers and screens incoming telephone calls; follows through with appropriate action.

Responsibilities:

• Answers and screens incoming telephone calls; follows through with appropriate action.

• Pages authorized personnel.

• Monitors alarms.

• Responds appropriately to emergency signals including but not limited to fire, stats, and Code Blue.

• Distributes and maintains all pocket pagers.

• Provides hospital answering service and maintains an accurate on-call schedule

• Telephone Operations

• Emergency Codes, Medical Codes, and Maintenance Alarms

• Pocket Pagers and Overhead Announcements

• Answering Service and On-call Schedules

• Miscellaneous Responsibilities

• Other duties as required.

Other information:

Technical Expertise

• Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
• Experience in healthcare is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.

Education and Experience

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required
