What you will do
- Pull cable and terminate jacks with accuracy and speed
- Install, terminate, and test structured cabling: CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a, fiber optic, and coaxial
- Construct and dress MDF/IDF spaces—racks, patch panels, wire management, and network hardware
Is this you?
- Comfortable on ladders; skilled with power tools
- Can lift, carry, and position 50 lbs (box or ladder)
- Owns essential low-voltage hand tools (snips, strippers, screwdrivers, wrenches)
- Open to 2nd/3rd shift work, overtime, and fast-paced timelines
- Holds a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and insurance
- Professional working proficiency in English
- Background in commercial construction preferred
How you’ll be supported
Your supervision and scope scale with your experience. New to the trade? You’ll learn on the job. Seasoned? You’ll run tasks independently.
Experience levels
- Tech 1: No prior low-voltage experience required.
- Tech 2: 1+ year in commercial low-voltage. You can terminate a jack, pull cable, and work a 90 with limited oversight; you can build MDF/IDF closets with supervision.
- Tech 3: 2+ years in commercial low-voltage. You can terminate a jack, pull cable, work a 90, install and test every cabling type listed, and build MDF/IDF closets without supervision.
Project environment
Hands-on work across commercial buildings and data centers, delivered to high standards of quality, safety, and documentation.
