This role offers the opportunity to apply advanced BIM expertise on impactful telecommunications projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and help drive innovative design solutions from concept through construction.

Position Summary

The Telecommunications BIM Designer develops, coordinates, and maintains BIM models and construction documentation for telecommunications and low-voltage systems. This experienced professional independently delivers complex design assignments, supports project teams with technical expertise, and helps ensure accurate, coordinated, and constructible project deliverables.

Demonstrate advanced BIM modeling capabilities for telecommunications, structured cabling, fiber optic, wireless, and low-voltage infrastructure systems. Coordinate models across architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines to resolve conflicts and improve project outcomes. Produce high-quality construction documentation, support design reviews, contribute to BIM standards and best practices, provide technical guidance to team members, support field verification and as-built updates, and collaborate with clients, engineers, and project stakeholders to deliver successful projects.

Here's what you'll need

Here's what you'll need:

  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Telecommunications, CAD/BIM Design, Architecture, Construction Technology, or a related field
  • Advanced proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks
  • Experience delivering telecommunications, structured cabling, fiber optic, or low-voltage infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of BIM coordination, clash detection, and model management
  • Understanding of BICSI, TIA/EIA, NEC, and applicable industry standards
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary project teams
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work

Ideally, you'll also have:

  • BICSI certification (RCDD, TECH, or similar)
  • Experience supporting data centers, healthcare, industrial, or mission-critical facilities
  • Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, or similar collaboration platforms
  • Familiarity with laser scanning, point cloud integration, or digital twin technologies

Posted Salary Range: Minimum

90,000.00

Posted Salary Range: Upper

125,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $90,000.00 to $125,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
