Job Description

We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in enterprise routing and switching, Cisco Catalyst platforms, and OSI Layer 1-3 troubleshooting and a proven ability to design, configure, manage, and support resilient network infrastructure while leading small projects.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in technical direction, architecture design, and product selection for enterprise data networks.
• Design, deploy, configure, and support network solutions across access and distribution layers.
• Troubleshoot complex issues using OSI model principles and network monitoring tools.
• Exercise independent judgment while collaborating within a team-based engineering environment.
• Provide input to short- and long-term strategy and budget planning for network services.
• Plan and lead small projects, coordinating internal and external resources to meet business needs.
• Communicate project status to stakeholders and contribute to committees as requested.
• Document configurations, changes, and standard procedures thoroughly.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Expert knowledge of telecom/network concepts and the 7-layer OSI model, with emphasis on Layers 1-3.
• Hands-on experience installing and configuring Cisco Catalyst switches (C9000 series) and routers (C8000 series).
• Proficiency with basic network management and monitoring tools.
• Understanding of desktop and server operating systems.
• Ability to work with minimal direction and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Customer-focused mindset with clear communication and interpersonal skills across diverse stakeholders.
• Organizational and time management skills to manage concurrent projects and tasks.
• Analytical problem-solving skills for complex technical issues.
• Experience level 2+ years with bachelor's, 4+ years with associate's, or 6+ years without a degree.

Preferred Skills:

• MEC (Multi-Chassis EtherChannel) configuration experience.
• SD-WAN deployment or administration experience.
