VITAS is seeking a Patient Care Administrator to join our leadership team and oversee clinical, operational, and call center functions within the hospice service area.
This position combines clinical leadership, team development, operational oversight, and exceptional customer service to ensure patients and families receive timely, compassionate, and high-quality support throughout their hospice journey.
What You'll Do
The Patient Care Administrator will provide leadership and oversight of clinical and call center operations, while supervising, coaching, and developing call center and healthcare staff. This role will ensure timely, professional, and compassionate responses to patient, family, and community partner inquiries; monitor call center performance, productivity, service levels, staffing, and key operational metrics; and support patient care coordination, scheduling, and clinical escalations. The Patient Care Administrator will consult with clinical staff regarding patient needs and complex care situations, lead quality improvement and patient experience initiatives, and promote compliance with hospice regulations, organizational policies, and quality standards. The role will also monitor operational and financial performance, support budget management, and partner with senior leadership to achieve clinical, operational, and service-area goals. Above all, the Patient Care Administrator will foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, compassion, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Our PCAs work at a local VITAS office every day, supporting team members as needed.
