Tekla Detailer / Checker - Structural Steel (Friendswood, TX)

We're hiring an experienced Tekla Detailer/Checker to produce and check accurate structural and miscellaneous steel shop and erection drawings for commercial and industrial projects. You'll join a team that values clean, buildable drawings, and your work goes directly to the shop floor.

What you'll do

• Model and detail structural and miscellaneous steel in Tekla Structures
• Check shop, erection, and assembly drawings for accuracy and constructability
• Coordinate RFIs and revisions with project managers, engineers, and fabricators
• Ensure drawings meet AISC standards and project specifications
• Mentor junior detailers and maintain consistent drawing quality

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of Tekla Structures detailing experience in structural steel
• Checking experience strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of AISC standards, connections, and fabrication practices
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects

Compensation & benefits

• $100K–$130K based on experience
