SYSTEMTEC is seeking Technology Support Specialist II for a on-site opportunity for candidates in Columbia, SC.Candidate will provide technical support to end users through a 24x7 Technology Support Center, resolving hardware, software, application, and account-related issues while delivering a high level of customer service. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills and the flexibility to work an ongoing after-hours schedule, including nights and/or weekends.
Required Qualifications of the Technology Support Specialist II:
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
- Must be eligible to obtain the required C2 clearance.
- Must be willing and able to work 100% onsite in Columbia, SC.
- Must be available for an indefinite after-hours schedule that may include nights, weekends, and extended shifts.
- Must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; OR an associate's degree in a related field; OR two years of related work experience plus two years of technical help desk or comparable experience.
- Strong customer service, communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills are required.
- Ability to provide clear technical guidance to users with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, phone-based 24x7 support environment.
- Ability to accurately document technical issues, troubleshooting steps, customer interactions, and resolutions.
- Ability to assess the business impact of technical issues and escalate appropriately.

Responsibilities of the Technology Support Specialist II:
- Respond to inbound customer requests and troubleshoot routine through moderately complex technical issues.
- Assist users with account access, password resets, application concerns, hardware/software problems, and other common technology issues.
- Research reported problems, identify appropriate solutions, and provide clear technical guidance to customers.
- Evaluate issue severity and business impact, escalating complex or critical problems to the appropriate technical resources.
- Document customer interactions, troubleshooting activities, resolutions, and other relevant information in support databases.
- Monitor technology environments and support information to identify potential issues and contribute to maintaining current knowledge-base and technical documentation.
Work Location: Columbia, SC — 100% onsite. The position supports a 24x7 operation and requires ongoing flexibility to work overnights and/or weekends.
