Job Title: Software Asset Manager

Introduction
We are looking for an experienced, analytical, and results-driven Software Asset Manager to join our Global Technology organization. In this role, you’ll own and evolve the software asset lifecycle strategy across the global enterprise—ensuring license compliance, optimizing software investments, and reducing risk across a complex technology landscape.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 years of experience in Software Asset Management or Licensing Management in a global enterprise environment.
- Strong working knowledge of enterprise software licensing models (e.g., user-based, device-based, subscription, cloud/SaaS).
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro, Flexera, Snow, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with software compliance frameworks and audit response practices.
- Proven ability to interpret and translate complex license agreements into actionable controls and insights.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Prior work experience in the industry.
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Software Asset Management.
- ITAM/SAM certifications (e.g., CSAM, CITAM, ISO 19770).
- Experience defending software audits or leading true-up negotiations.
- Background in enterprise software procurement or vendor management.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle management of all enterprise software assets—from procurement through retirement.
- Manage license compliance for key publishers (e.g., Adobe, Oracle, IBM, SAP) and prepare for and respond to software audits.
- Maintain and mature the SAM Pro module in ServiceNow, ensuring accuracy of entitlement, discovery, and consumption data.
- Analyze software usage to identify cost savings, eliminate shelfware, and recommend rightsizing or harvesting opportunities.
- Partner with Legal and Procurement to support contract negotiations, renewals, and true-ups with actionable license data.
- Define and enforce enterprise-wide policies, controls, and processes to mitigate software compliance risk.
- Produce executive-level dashboards and reporting to enable governance and drive strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with InfoSec, Architecture, and Business Technology teams to ensure approved, secure, and licensed software is deployed.
