Detailed Job Description:
Senior Database Engineer with 10+ years of experience in PostgreSQL, PostGIS, and MongoDB development and administration. The candidate should have strong expertise in database design, data modeling, complex SQL/PLpgSQL development, performance tuning, indexing, replication, backup/recovery, high availability. Hands-on experience with PostGIS for geospatial data processing and spatial queries and MongoDB administration including sharding, replication, cluster management, and NoSQL performance optimization, is required. Experience with Linux, Python/Shell scripting, cloud database platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), database security, automation, and production support is essential. The role involves building and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performing database solutions while collaborating with application, DevOps, and infrastructure teams in an enterprise environment.
