Description

Technology Job Site Supervisor

Elite Pro Technology, DFW Area
$75,000–$90,000 salary + up to 20% performance bonus
Take-home company vehicle provided

Elite Pro Technology is a commercial technology contractor serving businesses throughout DFW. For more than ten years, we have built a reputation for clean installations, technical competence, reliability, and professional execution.

We are a small, highly capable team. Your work is visible, your decisions matter, and you will be trusted to operate without constant supervision. We are not called “Average Technology.” We are Elite Pro Technology, and we hold ourselves to a higher standard.

We are looking for a Technology Job Site Supervisor who combines the technical ability of a senior systems technician with the leadership skills to run a small team.

About the Role

You will normally be the most senior technician on the job site, working independently or leading a team of up to four technicians.

This is a hands-on technical position. You will still install equipment, troubleshoot systems, perform repairs, configure equipment, and solve technical problems. Your larger responsibility, however, is making sure the entire job site executes correctly.

On smaller projects, generally under $50,000, you may lead most day-to-day field execution. On larger projects, you will work under the assigned Project Manager. The Project Manager owns the overall schedule, budget, contracts, and major project decisions.

You own execution in the field.

Responsibilities

You will:

  • Lead and direct technicians assigned to your job site
  • Divide work into tasks and keep the team productive
  • Perform installations, repairs, troubleshooting, and routine system configuration
  • Read construction drawings, spreadsheets, equipment lists, cable schedules, and technical documentation
  • Serve as the first line of quality control
  • Identify installation problems before they become callbacks
  • Coordinate with GC superintendents, customers, and other trades
  • Attend local job-site coordination meetings
  • Report progress, labor hours, completed work, photos, problems, and material needs every day
  • Identify scope changes and document them properly
  • Solve straightforward field problems and escalate larger issues with a proposed solution whenever possible
  • Maintain a safe, organized, professional job site

Technical Minimum Standards

We need someone who can be placed on almost any technology project we perform and quickly understand what is happening.

Our projects may include:

  • Structured cabling and fiber
  • Networking and wireless infrastructure
  • Security cameras
  • Commercial AV systems
  • Displays and presentation systems
  • Equipment racks and infrastructure
  • Broadcast and production systems
  • Troubleshooting and system repairs

You do not need to be the engineer or programmer for every system, but you must understand technology well enough to follow engineering documentation, recognize problems, troubleshoot intelligently, and know when engineering support is required.

Junior engineering capability is a significant advantage.

How Success Is Measured

This position includes the opportunity to earn up to approximately 20% additional compensation based on quarterly performance.

Specific KPIs may change by quarter, but the major outcomes remain consistent:

Quality: Work meets Elite Pro Technology standards when completed.

Productivity: The crew makes efficient progress and uses its time well.

Zero Avoidable Callbacks: Work is completed correctly the first time.

Daily reporting and project visibility are expected operating standards.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with approximately 5+ years of commercial technology, low-voltage, AV, networking, structured cabling, or similar field experience. You will have to prove that you know what you are doing in a practical test.

You should have:

  • Strong technical troubleshooting ability
  • Exceptional Commercial technology installation experience
  • Experience leading technicians or small teams
  • Ability to read construction drawings and technical documentation
  • Strong computer and equipment configuration skills
  • Professional communication skills
  • Experience working around GCs and active construction sites
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass required background screening

BICSI, CTS, CTS-I, fiber, networking, AV, security, or similar certifications and experience are highly preferred. Lead roles also emphasize blueprint literacy, troubleshooting, equipment configuration, and the ability to communicate intelligently with customers and construction personnel.

Safety and Travel

This is an active construction position. You must be comfortable safely working at elevation with ladders, lifts, power tools, winches, chain motors, equipment rooms, warehouses, rooftops, and other normal commercial installation environments.

OSHA-30 and aerial lift training are 100% required, and the company can provide the training, if necessary, but the applicant must complete within 10 days to remain employed. The company maintains a zero-tolerance substance policy.

Most work is throughout DFW area and you will be home every night. Occasional overnight travel may be required, but if so, it is minimal.

Compensation

  • $75,000–$90,000 salary, depending on experience
  • Up to approximately 20% additional performance bonus
  • Take-home company vehicle
  • Company fuel and job-expense card
  • Company tools
  • PTO after the introductory period
  • Company-provided required safety training
