Overview

Supports drafting proposals and/or statement of work (SOW). Provides input on staffing and skill requirements for delivery to Resource Deployment, Technical Delivery Managers (TDMs), and/or Project Managers. Uses business, industry, and technology strategies to map customer/partner requirements to the adoption and optimization of Microsoft technology solutions. Engages others appropriately to understand and define customer requirements. Communicates the business value of planned solutions to customers/ partners. Identifies technical and business risks in programs and proposes mitigations. Acts as an ambassador in the consumption of intellectual property (IP) by leveraging and/or modifying existing IP or creating repeatable content where applicable. Improves Managed Standard Offerings (MSO) quality and collaborates with portfolio and solution teams of the domain by providing feedback. Identifies opportunities to expand or accelerate the adoption and consumption of the cloud and Microsoft technologies. Facilitates, as appropriate, other team members to scale the business with existing customers by articulating value propositions of strategic Microsoft products and services and developing new offerings for the domain.

Responsibilities

Business Development

Identifies opportunities to expand or accelerate the adoption and consumption of cloud and Microsoft technologies. Facilitates, as appropriate, other team members to scale the business with existing customers by articulating value propositions of strategic Microsoft products, including security to facilitate trust in the services, and developing new offerings for the domain. Drives innovation and digital transformation. Ensures the use of the existing intellectual property (IP).

Intellectual Property Management

Acts as an ambassador in the consumption of intellectual property (IP) by leveraging and/or modifying existing IP or creating repeatable content where applicable. Provides feedback on Managed IP for continuous improvement, reports IP gaps, reviews IP to be considered for harvesting and curation and ensures it is logged for consumption. Improves Industry Solutions offerings quality and collaborates with portfolio and solution teams by providing feedback.

Operational Excellence

Completes operational tasks and readiness and ensures timeliness and accuracy while maintaining adherence to security standards through Delivery Compliance, Privacy, and Security (DCPS). Follows Microsoft policies, compliance, and procedures (e.g., Enterprise Services Authorization Policy, Standards of Business Conduct, labor logging, expenses, travel guidelines). Leads by example and guides team members on operational tasks, readiness, and compliance.

Pre-Sales Support

Collaborates with internal stakeholders (e.g., Solution Architect, Pursuit Lead, Consulting Account Executive, Industry Solutions Delivery Engineering & Architecture Group) in the pre-sale process by understanding business and security requirements and providing industry and technical input and/or solution offerings to help shape the deal. Supports drafting proposals and/or statement of work (SOW).

Provides input on staffing and skill requirements and ensures SME involvement to define security capacity for delivery to Resource Deployment, Technical Delivery Managers (TDMs), and/or Project Managers.

Readiness

Learns new technologies or services based on business demands and industry trends and evaluates their impact on security posture, revisiting the Industry Solutions Delivery (ISD) Learning Portfolio for Security to deepen understanding of security considerations. Obtains relevant accreditations and certification(s) as advised by domain leadership team. Identifies certifications and readiness plans in partnership with World Wide Learning. Leads or participates in relevant technical communities and conducts training sessions to evangelize technology and/or offerings based on availability. Mentors team members and acts as a technical advisor for stakeholders by providing thought leadership, articulation of solutions value, and outcomes of business strategies.

Technical Delivery

Follows the capacity process outlined by Resource, Insights, Capacity, and Capability (RICC) team. Maintains tools with up-to-date skills and availability.

Participates in project planning and develops project documents by identifying the risks and dependencies. Communicates the business value of planned solutions to customers/ partners. Identifies technical, business, and security risks in programs and proposes mitigations. Assists project managers/architects in preparing for steering committee (e.g., developing artifacts). Manages their schedule and communicates with project leads. Generates and delivers Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).

Proactively manages executive-level customer/partner/stakeholder relationships to identify and contribute to the drivers of satisfaction and dissatisfaction, determine the root cause, and establish recovery actions to improve the experience. Works with account team to ensure One Microsoft approach. Shares lessons learned with workgroup and consultant community.

Implements solutions and provides oversight and leadership on workstreams across domains while adhering to Industry Solutions processes and security initiatives. Aligns solutions with the intent of the architecture.

Leads meetings with customers/partners to understand business needs. Uses business, industry, security, and technology strategies to map customer/partner requirements to the adoption and optimization of Microsoft technology solutions. Engages others (e.g., EAG Security stakeholders) appropriately to understand and define customer requirements, ensuring security is prioritized.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business, or related field AND 3+ years leadership experience in relevant area of business OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements

Security Clearance Requirements: Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or

government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with access

to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a Single Scope Background Investigation

(SSBI) with Polygraph. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required pre-offer and post-hire for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the

appropriate U.S. Government clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in

employment action up to and including termination.

  • Clearance Verification: This position requires successful verification of the stated security

clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide

clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud

background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

  • Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due

to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal,

state, and/or local United States government agency customer and is subject to certain

citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal

requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport, or other approved documents, or

verified US government Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical certifications based on domain/service line (e.g., Azure, Modern Work).
  • Delivery certification (e.g., Security +).
  • Preferred candidates will possess advanced MECM (formerly SCCM) expertise;
  • Experience with enterprise operating system deployment, software distribution, patch management, compliance reporting, PowerShell automation, and hybrid MECM/Intune environments; and a demonstrated ability to support complex classified federal community networks while maintaining strict security and compliance standards.
  • Advanced expertise with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), formerly System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), including architecture, administration, and optimization.
  • Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale operating system deployment (OSD) solutions and endpoint lifecycle management processes.
  • Strong knowledge of software packaging, application deployment, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and compliance reporting.
  • Experience integrating MECM with Microsoft Intune and supporting modern endpoint management strategies in hybrid environments.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex endpoint management issues across large, distributed enterprise environments.
  • Experience supporting classified, government, defense, intelligence community, or other highly regulated environments with stringent security and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with Windows endpoint security baselines, Zero Trust principles, and federal cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Knowledge of automation and scripting technologies such as PowerShell to improve operational efficiency and endpoint management processes.
  • Experience collaborating with infrastructure, security, and operations teams to deliver secure and reliable endpoint services.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications related to endpoint management, Windows administration, or Microsoft cloud technologies are preferred.

Technology Consulting IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $101,800 - $193,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $126,100 - $207,600 per year.
