Job Description: Manufacturing Equipment Technician
Location: Temecula, CA
Duration: 12 Months (W-2 Contract)
Pay Rate: $33–$35/hour
Shift: 2:30 PM – 12:00 AM
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Equipment Technician to support production operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving manufacturing and assembly line equipment. The ideal candidate will ensure maximum equipment uptime while working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams in a regulated production environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing and assembly line equipment to minimize production downtime.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and document repairs, upgrades, and maintenance activities using the MP2 Maintenance Database.
  • Maintain backup equipment and ensure adequate inventory of spare parts.
  • Assist Manufacturing, Industrial, and Quality Engineers with equipment operation and technical support.
  • Collaborate with Equipment Development Engineers by identifying equipment issues and recommending improvements to enhance equipment reliability and uptime.
  • Support the installation, setup, and relocation of manufacturing equipment, workstations, and utilities.
  • Modify assembly lines and workstations to meet changing production requirements.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior technicians.
  • Plan, prioritize, and organize maintenance activities while ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Troubleshoot complex equipment issues and recommend effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Assist in the design, evaluation, modification, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment, materials, and systems.
  • Develop and support preventive maintenance plans to improve equipment performance and reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards, safety procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
Education
  • Associate's Degree in a technical discipline or
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
Experience
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in equipment maintenance, manufacturing, or a related technical field.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing or automated assembly equipment.
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), preferably MP2.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation, schematics, and engineering drawings.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Experience working in a regulated manufacturing or quality system environment is preferred.
  • Relevant technical certifications or licenses are a plus.
