    Summary

    Alford Media is a specialized division of Freeman that is nationally recognized for expertise in corporate event technology. The Technician - Service and Systems plays a critical role in maintaining the quality, performance, and reliability of our audiovisual equipment inventory. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, testing, and refurbishing equipment to ensure it is event-ready and meets operational standards.

    This position will support our Alford Media team. It is eligible to work an in person schedule, requiring work in-office and/or show-site 5 days per week. The ideal candidate will be based out of Dallas, TX.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Diagnose, troubleshoot, test, align, and repair audiovisual equipment.
    • Perform preventative maintenance and quality inspections on rental inventory.
    • Refurbish equipment through cleaning, painting, and replacement of damaged or missing components.
    • Coordinate with manufacturers and vendors regarding repairs, technical support, and replacement parts.
    • Maintain accurate repair records and inventory documentation.
    • Order and track parts and materials required for repairs and maintenance activities.
    • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to warehouse and event teams.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
    • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Education & Experience

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • Minimum one (1) year of experience repairing, troubleshooting, or maintaining audiovisual equipment preferred.
    • Experience in live events, entertainment technology, or related technical environments is an asset.
    • Understanding of equipment handling and workplace safety practices.
