Contract QC Microbiologist
Location: Cary, IL

Position Summary:
Seeking a Contract QC Microbiologist to provide primarily hands-on microbiological testing support within a cGMP QC laboratory.
This is a 100% onsite laboratory role supporting day-to-day testing and laboratory operations.
Data review and investigation support may be assigned based on experience and qualification.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and non-routine microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process solutions, and finished products.
Perform bioburden, growth promotion, antimicrobial effectiveness, microbial identification, and other assigned testing.
Accurately document testing and results in accordance with cGMP requirements.
Support data review and laboratory investigations as qualified.
Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and general laboratory organization.
Follow applicable safety, quality, and data-integrity requirements.
Communicate testing status, issues, and potential delays to laboratory leadership.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related scientific field REQUIRED
Microbiology laboratory experience preferred.
cGMP and compendial testing experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently following training and qualification.
HM will consider those with Masters or higher, but wants to make sure that they are aware that this is a very repetitive role and is not any research (80% lab based with some deskwork)
