The Technician is responsible for assisting with the installation, deployment, maintenance, and support of enterprise IT infrastructure, including network equipment, wireless systems, and physical access control systems. Working closely with the engineering team, the Technician ensures technology deployments are completed efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with school district standards.
This position is ideal for individuals who are mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and eager to develop their technical skills while building a career in IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will receive hands-on experience with enterprise networking, infrastructure technologies, and physical security systems, along with mentorship and opportunities for professional growth.Travel throughout the five boroughs of New York City and reporting to Long Island Head Quarters is required. Role can change to reporting to HQ only.Work Schedule
The standard work schedule for this position is 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM to support project implementation and operational requirements. During school district breaks, summer months, or as required to support business and project needs, the work schedule will transition to HQ from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Employees are expected to maintain a flexible work schedule and may be required to adjust their hours based on project timelines, operational priorities, maintenance windows, emergency response, or other business needs. Responsibilities may include staging and configuration in the configuration center, distribution and other project initiatives based at HQ.What You'll Do:
