    Technician II (Diesel Mechanic)

    Bryan / College Station, TX | Full-Time (2nd shift - Monday to Friday 1:00pm-11:30pm)


    Overview

    Bronwick is working with the client to hire a Technician II (Diesel Mechanic) in the Bryan / College Station area to support fleet maintenance and repair operations for Class 8 trucks and heavy equipment.


    This role is ideal for a technician with preventive maintenance experience who wants to grow their diagnostic and repair skills while working with an experienced maintenance team.


    What You'll Do:

    • Perform preventive maintenance on Class 8 trucks and fleet equipment
    • Inspect vehicles and identify faults during inspections
    • Replace failed components such as - brakes, sensors, starters, alternators, hydraulic cylinders
    • Assist with repairs involving - turbos, EGR systems, air compressors, fuel systems differentials
    • Use diagnostic software and hydraulic gauges for troubleshooting
    • Maintain accurate repair orders and service documentation
    • Assist in training Technician I employees
    • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all safety regulations


    What We're Looking For:

    • 1+ year preventive maintenance experience on heavy trucks or diesel equipment OR technical training in diesel maintenance
    • Mechanical aptitude and basic diagnostic ability
    • Must provide your own tools
    • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced shop environment
    • Basic computer skills for service documentation


    Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Class B CDL
    • ASE certification, or ability to obtain
    • Formal preventive maintenance training
    • Safe driving for the last five years 


    Required Licenses:

    • Valid Class C driver's license
    • Safe driving record for the past three years
    • State Inspector License or ability to obtain within 90 days
