Technician I Overall Summary of Potential Jobs - Potential Tech Positions are EDM (Wire or Plunge) equipment operation, thermal spray operation (Plasma, Twin Arc and Flame) and masking , and furnace (vacuum and atmosphere) operation and light machining , Bench and Assembly and Airflow inspection . Additional training is provided
Essential Functions - Performs operations on plunge and wire EDM, vacuum/atmosphere furnaces, thermal spray equipment and various other plant machinery and equipment.
- Operates a variety of standard power tools and equipment.
- Maintains records and logs, as needed.
- Guidance and direction will come from experienced production Leads. Performs related duties as needed or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from high school or Technical School and some experience minimum in a variety of trades or construction work; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Ability to work from sketches, drawings, and blueprints.
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others.
- Excellent work history and attendance record.
- Pre-employment drug screen required.
