What You Bring:
- KNOWLEDGEABLE: High school diploma or equivalent with the ability to obtain the Texas FEL-B, fire extinguisher license and a TWIC card
- TECHNICAL: Experience utilizing equipment used to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain systems; Ability to read and analyze blueprints, schematics, and drawings; Intermediate MS Office and excel skills
- A SELF-STARTER: Learn quickly and use your resources to be successful in your role
- ANALYTICAL: Ability to read and understand technical information, analyze, think critically, and problem-solve
- FLEXIBLE: Travel to client sites regularly
What You'll Do:
- INSPECT: Conduct routine inspections of ABC, CO2 & wheeled fire extinguisher units, following all regulations and best practices
- DOCUMENT: Provide accurate and detailed reports, including documentation to support needed repairs or improvements; Create, retrieve and archive reports and related documents via electronic records storage
- KEEP TO CODE: Ensure that projects are compliant with local, state, federal, and district codes, regulations, and specifications
- PUT SAFETY FIRST: Adhere to OSHA/TOSHA, customer, and safety protocols while on site; utilize safety best practices when lifting, moving, or pushing heavy materials and while climbing, balancing, and maneuvering on the job site
- COMMUNICATE: Provide thorough and timely information to clients; Communicate status of work orders to supervisors and other office staff
- COLLABORATE: Coordinate with project Foreman and other trades to complete projects and work orders efficiently; Maintain positive working relationships with field and office staff
