The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial settings. This role involves interpreting technical schematics, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The Technician performs preventive maintenance, leads field teams, and supports operational efficiency through effective communication and coordination. What you''ll do:

  • Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork, control panels, and building pneumatics, ensuring compliance with building codes and operational specifications.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues in commercial and industrial systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on refrigeration units, walk-ins, reach-ins, and rack systems to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct inspections and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local HVAC/R regulations, including refrigerant handling and documentation.
  • Lead and mentor field teams on technical procedures and safety practices.
  • Manage service calls, coordinate with external providers, and maintain accurate records using digital tools.
  • Operate company vehicles safely to complete service assignments within assigned regions.

What you''ll bring:

  • Proven experience installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial or industrial settings.
  • Ability to interpret layout plans, schematics, and building codes to ensure accurate system configuration and compliance.
  • Skilled in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Knowledge of EPA 608 refrigerant handling protocols and OSHA safety standards.
  • Experience leading teams and mentoring technicians on technical procedures and safety practices.
  • Strong communication skills to explain technical information clearly to customers and team members.
  • Proficient in using digital tools for scheduling, inventory tracking, and service documentation.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to operate company vehicles safely.

The hourly wage range for this position is $29.00 - $58.00The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
