Facility Maintenance Technician
Location: Fort Worth, TX area Department: Facilities Reports To: Facilities Manager Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Summary
The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for monitoring, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining facility utility systems that support semiconductor manufacturing operations. This role ensures the reliable operation of HVAC, chilled water, compressed air, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems through routine inspections, alarm response, preventive maintenance, and coordination with vendors and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
Monitoring & Response
Monitor facility and utility systems through FMCS/BMS platforms
Respond to equipment alarms, abnormalities, and utility disruptions
Support equipment startup, shutdown, operational switching, and emergency response activities
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on facility systems
Troubleshoot HVAC, chilled water, compressed air, plumbing, mechanical, and basic electrical systems
Coordination & Documentation
Coordinate maintenance and repair activities with vendors and contractors
Maintain work orders, maintenance records, and operational logs
Safety
Follow all safety procedures, including LOTO and PPE requirements
Education
High School Diploma or GED required
Technical certification or Associate Degree preferred
Experience
35 years of facility maintenance or operations experience in manufacturing, semiconductor, data center, or similar environments
Experience with HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, compressed air, and electrical systems
Skills & Competencies
Knowledge of facility utility systems and preventive maintenance practices
Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Familiarity with FMCS, BMS, or SCADA systems preferred
Understanding of OSHA and LOTO safety requirements
Ability to read technical drawings and equipment manuals
Strong communication and teamwork skills
