Description

Job Title: Technician: Engineering I
Location: Rancho Cordova, CA
Duration: 12 Months

The Hardware (HW) team in the Data Center Engineering (DCE) group of the client is looking for a Hardware Technician to support the debug and validation of the client's Solid State Drives (SSD). As a Hardware Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the HW design team with various tasks, including reworking components on printed circuit boards (PCB), circuit design, debug and validation of SSD HW, setting up the lab environment, and performing various electrical validation tasks. This role also involves taking measurements and following test procedures for electrical validation.

Additionally, the Hardware Technician will support HW lab management, which includes maintaining lab equipment to the latest calibration status and managing the HW inventory of equipment.

Qualifications

You must possess the following minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position:

  • Associate degree in Electronics or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the following areas, obtained through a combination of schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences:
    • Experience in PCB rework.
    • Debugging electrical HW.
    • Familiarity with various Windows/Linux host setups.
    • Setting up test setups.
    • Familiarity with using lab equipment such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, etc.
