The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Position Summary
Technician B is needed to provide general research support in a lab focused on translational biology, specifically focusing on cardiometabolic traits such as lipid metabolism, atherosclerosis, and metabolic syndrome. The research in the lab will span standard molecular biology techniques, protein and gene expression measurements, cell culture and in vitro experimentation, and animal model work.

Candidate must Successfully undergo a drug screening test and a background check prior to receiving a final offer of employment. All background checks for support staff positions will be initiated centrally by the Columbia University Human Resources Background Check (BGC) Team. In compliance with New York City's Fair Chance Act (Background checks are completed in two stages): The Pre-Offer: Verifies Education and Employment history Once employment and education credentials have been verified in a Pre-Offer Background Check, the University may extend an offer of employment.
