$0 Tuition  |  2-Year Program  |  8 Spots Available

Why ETA?

  • Earn while you learn. You’re on the payroll from day one — no unpaid internships, no working for free.
  • Real training, real experience. You may work on any of the brands across our dealership group — Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Ram, Chevrolet, GMC, Ford, and Mitsubishi.
  • A job offer, not a maybe. Graduates receive a journey-level technician position with Expressway Auto Group.
  • DOL registered. This isn’t a certificate course — it’s a federally recognized apprenticeship with credentials that follow you anywhere.

Pay Scale

Your pay grows as you do.
Starting pay intermediate increases as you advance journey-level wage upon graduation.
Wages are paid for productive shop hours, consistent with how professional technicians are compensated.

The Expressway Technician Academy

Expressway Auto Group built ETA because developing the next generation of automotive technicians is the right investment — for our business, and for this community. This is a 2-year, hands-on apprenticeship program designed to take motivated individuals with no prior experience and turn them into skilled, career-ready automotive technicians trained to the standards of one of Evansville’s most established dealership groups.

How It Works

Every weekday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, apprentices split their time between structured classroom instruction and real shop work — supervised by experienced, certified technicians across our dealership group. You’re not watching. You’re doing.

The program covers the full range of automotive systems. Depending on shop needs, apprentices may work on any of the brands in our dealership group, building versatile, real-world experience across multiple vehicle lines.
