How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Technician 2, you’ll help keep our customers moving by diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing material handling equipment in the shop and at customer locations. You’ll bring strong mechanical know-how, sound judgment, and a commitment to doing every job safely and correctly.
What You’ll Do
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild material handling equipment, including engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, transmissions, brakes, steering, drive systems, and lifting systems.
Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections, identify potential problems and safety concerns, and complete basic welding or fabrication work when needed.
Put safety first on every job by properly securing equipment, following company procedures, and maintaining compliance with applicable DOT, OSHA, and other safety requirements.
Keep accurate service records, maintain necessary parts and supplies, care for your company vehicle, complete required training and certifications, and support the team wherever needed.
What You’ll Bring
3+ years of forklift repair or related industry experience, along with strong mechanical aptitude, diagnostic skills, and knowledge of material handling equipment and operations.
A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license; mechanical or trade school training and Hyster-Yale technician certifications are preferred.
The ability to use precision measuring instruments and perform hands-on work safely; welding or fabrication experience is a plus. Certification on at least 65% of the Briggs Equipment product line is required.
