Description

COMPENSATION FOR THIS ROLE: $21.00 to $25.00 per hour

General Responsibilities

Specific Responsibilities

Work independently or as part of a team, able and willing to take direction and execute those directives effectively and efficiently

Specific Responsibilities for Security

Knowledge and understanding of basic electrical principals

Demonstrate an understanding of and installs cabling needed for various field devices

Responsibilities for AV Installs Cable and Hardware, which includes:

  • Audio connections
  • Rough in cable according to design
  • Installs speakers - knows basics of 8ohm versus 70/100 volt system
  • Solders, XLR and other various connectors.
  • Knowledge of Displays/projectors and hardware of all types

Date Connections, including:

  • Cat5 and Cat6 568A/B terminations
  • Understanding shielded and unshielded part numbers and use STP-UTP
  • DM connections
  • Building and testing patch cables by using Cat5/RJ45 tester etc.
  • Understanding function/installation specs
  • Knowing basic electrical

Uses a multimeter to:

  • Test power supplies/change polarity
  • Continuity/ohm check connectors and cables
  • Understands AC and DC testing

Responsibilities for BAS

Basic understanding and ability in conduit bending and install and taking training if needed

Basic electrical understanding

Basic HVAC understanding

Ability to perform with power tools effectively and safely.

Responsibilities for Telecom

Proficient with basic hand tools

Able to establish pathways

Able to label and pull cable

Able to follow directions from supervisors

Able to work in a team setting

Other duties as may be assigned

The construction process from scheduling to manpower to the labor, materials and equipment required for installation

Electrical construction to manage costs

Conceptual estimating (conceiving a project in your mind and all the components of that project)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required with one year of experience preferred.
