The Technical Documentation Engineer owns the creation, control, and governance of technical quality documentation across the Ford Energy Quality organization. Rigorous documentation is the backbone of audit-readiness, certification maintenance, and organizational knowledge retention - this role ensures that DFMEA/PFMEA records, test reports, RCA documentation, and quality process standards are consistent, traceable, current, and instantly retrievable when needed for an audit, certification review, or internal investigation.

Documentation Standards & Governance
Develop and maintain technical documentation standards and templates for quality processes, test reports, and engineering records.
Establish document numbering, classification, and metadata conventions to ensure consistency across the organization.
Partner with engineering and quality teams to standardize templates for DFMEA/PFMEA, test reports, and RCA records and ensure alignment between all documents.
Document Control & Change Management
Manage document control processes, including revision history, approval workflows, and archival, in coordination with the PLM Engineer.
Administer document review and approval cycles, ensuring appropriate stakeholder sign-off before release.
Maintain obsolescence/retirement processes for superseded documentation.
