    Description

    A Technical Writer is responsible for creating, editing, and maintaining clear, accurate, and user-friendly technical documentation to support products, processes, and regulatory compliance. This role collaborates with engineers, subject matter experts, quality, and cross-functional teams to develop user manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, technical specifications, validation documents, training materials, and other documentation.

    • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree required.
    • Minimum Experience: 3+ years of experience with component content management systems and a minimum of 2 years of experience implementing brand guidelines for a global medical device manufacturer.
    • Technical/Software Skills: Experience working within Windchill and Author-it is required. Demonstrated proficiency with electronic record-keeping systems.
    • Soft Skills: Exceptional communicator with proven ability to coordinate with remote teams, as well as global and local stakeholders. Highly detail-oriented and able to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously. Ability to foresee and address problems proactively.
    • Physical & Cognitive Requirements: Must be able to successfully perform the minimum Physical, Cognitive, and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
    • Execute the creation of user and service manual delivery, creating well-structured and clear user content per Client's branding guidelines.
    • Write user manual texts based on guidelines and a style guide with direction provided by R&D team inputs.
    • Ensure compliance with international legal standards.
    • Give instructions to and manage external contacts: illustrators, translation agencies, and DTP agencies.
    • Proof PDFs, route revisions, and manage approval deadlines for all instructional asset projects.
    • Revise, proof, and assess all ancillary print and online knowledge management materials for readability.
    • Monitor deadlines, meet business commitments, and ensure quality first-time right delivery.
    • Track projects and maintain status transparency, overseeing multiple projects of various sizes and scope simultaneously.
    • Escalate process delays and other project risks to internal functions when necessary for quick resolution.
