Zachery Piper Solutions is seeking a Technical Writer to support a high-visibility U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) prototype initiative. You will have the opportunity to join a rapidly growing, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business supporting both federal and commercial clients in a fully remote role. The Technical Writer will play a key role in ensuring all project deliverables are accessible to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and meet USCG documentation requirements.
This position requires an Active Secret Clearance to be considered for the role.
Responsibilities of the Technical Writer include:
• Develop, organize, and maintain all technical documentation throughout the prototype lifecycle. • Document system architecture, design decisions, deployment procedures, and testing results. • Ensure all written materials align with USCG technical standards and formatting requirements. • Translate complex technical inputs into concise, actionable documentation for diverse audiences. • Contribute to configuration guides, design overviews, risk assessments, and transition deliverables. • Support the creation and delivery of design artifacts, system overviews, and related project materials.
Qualifications for the Technical Writer include:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience. • 5-8 years of experience in technical writing within a technical, engineering, or federal environment. • Proven experience developing and editing user manuals, SOPs, system documentation, proposals/RFP responses, and knowledge-base articles. • Strong ability to translate technical concepts into clear, structured, and accessible documentation. • Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail. • Active Secret Clearance.
Compensation for the Technical Writer includes:
