Client: Financial Giant Firm
Role: Technical Writer – AEM
Duration: 04 Months (Extension/Conversion will be based on performance)
Location: Phoenix, AZ 85054 - Hybrid 3 Day Onsite
Pay: ($45 - $50) on an hourly basis
Note: Open to relocating candidates.
Role Overview:
- We are looking for a Technical Writer with hands-on experience in Experience Manager (AEM) Guides and DITA-based structured authoring.
- You will create, maintain, migrate, and publish technical documentation while supporting the transition from traditional authoring tools to a structured content environment.
Responsibilities:
- Create, edit, maintain, and publish technical documentation using AEM Guides.
- Develop and manage DITA/XML-based structured content and topic-based documentation.
- Support migration of documentation from FrameMaker to AEM Guides.
- Manage reusable content, book structures, conditional references, tables, and embedded images.
- Review migrated content for accuracy, consistency, and formatting quality.
- Collaborate with engineers, technical teams, and SMEs to validate technical content.
- Manage documentation workflows, assignments, backlogs, and deliverables.
- Follow documentation standards, quality processes, and publishing requirements.
- Provide project status updates and proactively communicate blockers.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience as a Technical Writer or Documentation Specialist.
- Hands-on experience with Adob Experience Manager (AEM) Guides.
- Experience with DITA/XML and structured authoring environments.
- Strong experience creating and maintaining complex technical documentation.
- Understanding of reusable content, content structures, and publication workflows.
- Experience with Confluence and SharePoint.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation quality.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deliverables.
Preferred:
- FrameMaker experience.
- Experience migrating FrameMaker content to AEM Guides.
- CMS experience.
- Jira and Agile/Kanban experience.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale documentation libraries.
- Knowledge of PDF production and publishing processes
