Technical Writer

Responsibilities: of the Technical Writer include: · Develop and maintain technical documentation, user guides, operational procedures, and knowledge base content for cloud-based platforms. · Partner with engineering and operational teams to translate complex technical information into clear, user-friendly materials. · Assist with tracking and documenting platform changes, system enhancements, release updates, and known issues. · Support incoming requests by gathering requirements, providing guidance, and ensuring appropriate follow-up with stakeholders. · Manage documentation updates and support activities within Jira, Confluence, and GitHub to maintain accuracy and consistency. Qualifications: for the Technical Writer include: · 3+ years of experience in technical writing, documentation management, technical support, or knowledge management. · Working knowledge of AWS services such as IAM, EC2, VPC, S3, and CloudWatch. · Experience utilizing Confluence and Jira for documentation, workflow tracking, and collaboration. · Familiarity with GitHub, Markdown, version control concepts, and documentation review processes. · Strong ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. · Experience supporting cloud operations, platform engineering teams, or enterprise technology environments preferred. · Exposure to FedRAMP environments, project coordination responsibilities, diagramming tools, or light scripting in Python or Bash is a plus.
