Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Technical Training Instructor to support training programs for personnel working in the Wind, Solar, and Battery Energy Storage (BESS) industries.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in wind or power generation operations, along with the ability to explain technical concepts, conduct practical training, and support employee qualification and certification programs.
Key Responsibilities
Training Delivery
Conduct classroom, virtual, onsite, and hands-on technical training for renewable energy personnel. Deliver training on technical systems, climbing and rescue, equipment, maintenance, and operational procedures. Lead demonstrations, workshops, simulations, and practical exercises. Explain complex technical topics in a clear and easy-to-understand manner. Training Program Support
Support the company's Operations & Maintenance (O&M) training programs. Develop, update, and maintain training materials, course content, and training documentation. Assist with scheduling employee training, certifications, recertifications, and refresher courses. Maintain accurate training and qualification records in learning management systems. Support employee qualification and competency tracking. Training Center Operations
Support daily operations of the training center. Prepare and maintain classrooms, training equipment, materials, and hands-on laboratory activities. Ensure training areas and equipment are ready for scheduled courses. Continuous Improvement
Review trainee feedback and training results. Identify opportunities to improve training content and delivery methods. Work closely with HSEQ, O&M, Technical Support, and other teams. Support special training projects and process improvement initiatives. Stay current with renewable energy technologies and industry practices.
- Safety & Compliance
- Promote a strong safety culture throughout all training activities.
- Ensure training follows company safety, quality, and compliance requirements.
- Reinforce safe work practices and operational procedures during hands-on training.
- Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the wind industry or power generation industry.
- Experience delivering technical, classroom, or hands-on training.
- Strong understanding of wind operations, electrical systems, industrial maintenance, or power generation.
- Experience working within safety and quality systems.
- Experience maintaining training records and supporting employee qualification programs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple training activities.
- Ability to travel up to 25%, including local, domestic, and potentially international travel.
- Preferred Skills
- Experience with Wind, Solar, or BESS technologies.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or training management platforms.
- Experience with ME-Learning or similar systems.
- Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe products.
- Experience with technical documentation and document management systems.
- Climb & Rescue or similar technical/safety training experience.
- Education
One of the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Education, or a related field with 3+ years of training execution experience, OR
- Associate degree or High School Diploma with 5+ years of relevant training execution experience.
