Technical Manager USA ( Western USA regions & Northeastern/Mid Atlantic )

Overview

A global provider of mobility and accessibility solutions is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to support dealer partners throughout the Western USA regions and the Northeastern/Mid Atlantic USA regions . This role focuses on delivering expert technical training, installation oversight, and ongoing support for stairlifts, platform lifts, and home mobility products. The Technical Manager ensures dealer technicians are fully equipped to deliver safe, reliable, and high quality solutions to end users.

This position is ideal for a stairlift or platform lift technician who enjoys teaching, troubleshooting, traveling, and supporting field teams.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Training & Development
  • Design, develop, and deliver both classroom and hands on technical training sessions (in person and virtual).

  • Train dealer technicians on installation procedures, maintenance best practices, and product safety standards.

  • Create clear, structured training materials and documentation.

Field Support & Installation Oversight
  • Attend and supervise dealer installations within assigned regions.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and industry best practices.

  • Provide on site troubleshooting, corrective guidance, and installation support.

Technical Support
  • Provide exceptional technical assistance via phone and email.

  • Deliver timely, accurate solutions for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting inquiries.

  • Support dealers in resolving complex mechanical or electrical issues.

Customer Service
  • Assess customer needs and ensure quality standards are met.

  • Support dealers in delivering a positive customer experience and maintaining high satisfaction levels.

  • Uphold professionalism and customer centric values in all interactions.

Qualifications & Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required).

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (preferred).

  • Minimum 2 years of stairlift installation and maintenance experience (required).

  • Experience delivering technical training in the mobility or lift industry (preferred).

Skills & Competencies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to explain technical concepts clearly.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving abilities.

  • Patient, results driven, and passionate about teaching others.

  • Highly organized, self motivated, and able to work independently.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams.

Position Details
  • Travel:

    • Frequent travel within the Western USA regions and Northeastern/Mid Atlantic USA regions.

    • Occasional travel across the U.S., Canada, and internationally for conferences and factory visits.
