Job Summary
The Gas Technical Trainer develops, delivers, and administers technical training for Gas Operations personnel. This role creates curriculum, explains complex technical concepts, manages scheduling and documentation through the Company's Learning Management Systems (LMS), evaluates training effectiveness, and partners with Operations to secure Subject Matter Experts as needed. The position requires strong communication skills, flexibility to meet organizational needs, and knowledge of natural gas operations, knowledge of Federal and State regulations within PHMSA 49 CFR 192 and Massachusetts 220 CMR, and thorough knowledge of all Company procedures. The Gas Technical Trainer supports operational safety, compliance, and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
Minimum years of experience: 3+ years of experience in the natural gas industry or other relevant technical trade.
Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering, instructional design, or other relevant area of
Study.
Technical knowledge of:
Properties of natural gas, pipeline construction and maintenance, gas safety regulations.
Knowledge of 49 CFR Parts 191, 192, and 193.
MA 220 CMR.
Operator Qualification programs and associated Written Plans.
Ability to design and conduct effective training programs including instructional design, presentation skills, and managing the learning environment.
Ability to obtain Operator Qualification tasks.
2+ years of demonstrated prior training experience.
