Careerscape is supporting a client opening for a Remote Entry-Level Technical Support Specialist. This role focuses on providing technical assistance to users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, resolving support requests, and ensuring a seamless technology experience for employees and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to technical support requests via phone, email, and chat
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and application issues
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and software
  • Document support requests, resolutions, and system updates
  • Assist with user account setup and password resets
  • Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT teams
  • Support Microsoft 365 and other business applications
  • Guide users through troubleshooting steps and best practices
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation
  • Monitor support ticket queues and ensure timely resolution
  • Assist with onboarding and device setup for new employees
  • Perform additional technical support and administrative tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
  • 0–2 years of experience in IT support, technical support, customer service, or related roles
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Office
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and computer hardware
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment
