Join Our Team as a Technical Support Specialist in Wilmington, MA!
Are you passionate about laboratory work and eager to make a difference in the field of nonclinical research? We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in Wilmington, MA. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, performing vital laboratory activities and supporting core in vivo biology (IVB) functions. With a schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and occasional weekends or holidays, you'll be at the heart of our research operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform specimen receipt, preparation, and testing in compliance with GMP regulations.
- Conduct laboratory activities including reagent preparation, laboratory maintenance, monitoring, and routine testing of client samples.
- Utilize immunoassay methods such as ELISA and IFA, as well as hemagglutination techniques.
- Support core IVB activities, including clinical observations and animal husbandry.
- Maintain general housekeeping and inventory levels of departmental supplies.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Biological Sciences or related discipline.
- One to two years of related technical experience in a laboratory environment.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in small groups or one-on-one settings.
Preferences:
- Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences or related discipline.
Work Environment:
- General laboratory working conditions with protective clothing required.
- Work with biological samples, with some exposure to zoonotic diseases and biohazards.
- Potential for working with sharp objects such as needles and glass pipettes.
- Noise levels range from low to moderate, depending on tasks.
