Technical Specialist / Power BI

Location: Innsbrook, VA
Duration: 12 Months
Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote), but willing to discuss remote option for the right candidate

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Power BI dashboard solutions and data lake solutions.
• Write requirements for dashboard solutions and mapping.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure effective data integration and management.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Power BI, PowerApps, and Oracle/SQL/MAXIMO.
• Ability to meet applicable NERC qualification requirements.
• Strong planning, organization, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Clear technical writing and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Commitment to safety, cybersecurity, quality, continuous improvement, and customer-focused service.
• Minimum two years of directly related software development experience, or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience.
• Minimum of a high school diploma required.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Microsoft .NET, SQL Server, Azure DevOps, Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint.
• Legacy application modernization, microservices, containers, cloud-ready patterns, CI/CD, automated testing, event-driven or sensor-data systems.
• IT/OT integration, NERC compliance, cybersecurity, and data governance.
• Proficiency in enterprise development technologies such as C#, Python, JavaScript or TypeScript, and SQL.
• Software architecture and problem-solving skills, including object-oriented design, data modeling, debugging, performance tuning, maintainable coding practices, and practical tradeoff analysis.
