Job Title

Technical Solutions Consultant - Patient Monitoring (Field: Richmond, VA)

Job Description

Lead the delivery and ongoing execution of Software Evolution Services (SES) for complex Hospital Patient Monitoring (HPM) and healthcare IT solutions, serving as a trusted technical advisor who proactively assesses system health, performs solution reviews and software maintenance, resolves advanced technical issues, and optimizes life-critical customer environments to strengthen system reliability, customer satisfaction, long-term value, and contract renewals.

Your role:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert to healthcare customers, providing pre- and post-sales consultation across complex patient monitoring and healthcare IT environments. Translate customer requirements, clinical workflows, and existing infrastructure into secure, reliable, and effective technical solutions.
  • Lead the deployment, configuration, integration, optimization, maintenance, and remediation of complex patient monitoring and software solutions across servers, wireless networks, and routing and switching. Ensure solutions operate securely and reliably within healthcare environments that support life-critical clinical operations.
  • Own the successful technical delivery of service contract obligations, including system health checks, solution reviews, operating system patch management, system updates, and proactive support. Identify and mitigate technical risks while strengthening system performance, customer satisfaction, and support for contract renewals.
  • Act as an advanced escalation resource for customers and internal teams, applying deep technical expertise and structured problem-solving to resolve highly complex system, network, software, and integration issues. Advise stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite and hospital executive leadership, by translating complex technical information into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with customers, Sales, Service, implementation, and project teams to guide solution decisions and achieve customer and business objectives. Advance implementation standards, technical documentation, knowledge sharing, customer education, and repeatable methodologies that improve service quality, scalability, and continuous innovation.

You're the right fit if:

  • You've acquired 6+ years of professional working experience in IT services or related technical environments. Experience working in a hospital or clinical IT environment required; experience with patient monitoring, telemetry units, ventilators, and defibrillators highly preferred.
  • Your skills include expert-level knowledge of computer networking, system integration, cybersecurity considerations, and enterprise-level technical troubleshooting in a healthcare IT environment. Active Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification required; higher-level Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNP) are also acceptable. Additional advanced certifications (CCNP Enterprise) highly preferred. VMware and Microsoft SQL experience highly preferred.
  • You have a bachelor's degree in computer science, biomedical, engineering, or related field of study, or equivalent combination of education and above listed experience.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this Field Service position. You must be able to:

o Travel for business. Approximately 75% travel across the specified geography is required. The average driving time is 1-4 hours daily. Occasional overnight stays and travel by air and/or train may be required.

o Work in an office/home office and/or remote setting, as well as in a hospital/healthcare environment; adhere to requirements and comply with vendor credentialing.

o Work flexible hours (based on business needs to include non-standard work hours, overtime, weekends, and on-call rotations).

o Wear all required personal protective equipment.

  • You're an accomplished technical expert who independently applies advanced healthcare IT, hospital patient monitoring, and networking expertise to deliver complex customer solutions, communicate effectively with technical and executive stakeholders, and drive results through sound judgment, collaboration, and disciplined execution.

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations.

This is a field role.
