WAGE RANGE (NON-EXEMPT): $25.00 - $30.00/ hour

REPORTS TO: Technical Labratory Supervisor

Position Summary

The Technical Services Coordinator supports the execution and continuous improvement of Cascade''s Technical Services programs through data management, technical documentation, performance reporting, product release activities, and cross-functional coordination. This role serves as an important link between Technical Services and Manufacturing by ensuring technical information is accurate, timely, and effectively communicated. The Coordinator uses data and technical systems to identify trends, escalate potential issues, support product and process performance, and drive continuous improvement.

The position supports a broad range of Technical Services activities including product release, manufacturing technical support, customer requirements, food safety programs, technical data systems, and performance reporting.

Essential Functions of the Job

Technical Data & Performance

  • Capture technical and manufacturing data from multiple sources and ensure information is accurate, complete, and entered into the appropriate systems.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate technical performance reports and dashboards for leadership and internal stakeholders.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, emerging risks, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain and report key performance indicators, including First Time Right, foreign material trends, audit results, product performance, and other Technical Services metrics.
  • Escalate out-of-specification results, adverse trends, or significant technical issues to appropriate Technical Services and Operations leadership.

Product Release & Technical Support

  • Coordinate and continuously improve positive release processes for applicable finished goods.
  • Verify required technical testing and documentation are complete prior to product release.
  • Support investigation and resolution of product holds, nonconforming product, and other technical issues.
  • Provide technical support to Manufacturing to improve product performance, process consistency, food safety, and compliance.
  • Coordinate with the Technical Laboratory, Operations, and other Technical Services functions to resolve product and process issues.

Technical Systems & Documentation

  • Support maintenance and continuous improvement of Technical Services systems and applications.
  • Maintain technical documentation, records, specifications, standards, and other controlled information as assigned.
  • Support implementation, testing, and improvement of Technical Management System applications and workflows.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, or automate technical data collection and reporting.
  • Support accurate data and documentation within applicable business systems.

Program & Compliance Support

  • Support Technical Services programs related to food safety, GMPs, product standards, customer requirements, and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist with audit readiness activities and preparation of supporting documentation.
  • Support corrective action tracking and verification as assigned.
  • Participate in Technical Services verification activities, including review of records and technical data.
  • Support implementation of new or revised technical programs, procedures, and standards.

Training & Communication

  • Communicate technical requirements, procedures, standards, and changes to Manufacturing and Technical Services teams.
  • Deliver training related to technical systems, procedures, documentation, and data requirements.
  • Support development of training materials, standard work, and other technical resources.
  • Facilitate timely communication and escalation between Technical Services, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional partners.

Cross-Functional Support

  • Partner with Technical Services, Operations, Innovation, Supply Chain, Engineering, and other functions to support technical initiatives.
  • Support product trials, process changes, commercialization activities, and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned.
  • Coordinate technical information and follow-up activities across functions.
  • Perform other Technical Services duties and projects as assigned.

Education, Experience & Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in a technical, manufacturing, food production, data, administrative, or related role preferred.
  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience preferred.
  • Experience within food, beverage, manufacturing, or other regulated environments preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HACCP, food safety plans, cGMPs, food safety management systems, sanitation, and related manufacturing programs preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to organize, interpret, trend, and communicate technical data.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating across functions.
  • Ability to identify problems, escalate risks appropriately, and support development of practical solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with ERP, QMS, reporting, database, or other technical systems preferred.

Work Environment

  • This position works within both office and manufacturing environments.
  • Manufacturing support may require extended periods of standing or walking on concrete floors and exposure to operating equipment, coffee dust, noise, and strong odors.
  • Personal protective equipment and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices are required when working within designated manufacturing areas.
