    Position Summary

    Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence is seeking a Technical Sales Specialist - Connected Worker & Q-DAS to support the growth of our Production Software portfolio across the United States.

    This role will serve as a technical and consultative partner throughout the sales process, helping manufacturing customers understand how Hexagon's Connected Worker and Q-DAS solutions can address challenges related to workforce productivity, quality, process standardization, operational visibility, and continuous improvement.

    Working closely with Account Executives, Sales Leadership, Product Management, Customer Success, Professional Services, and other technical resources, the Technical Sales Specialist will lead technical discovery, deliver compelling product demonstrations, develop solution concepts, support proofs of concept, and translate complex manufacturing requirements into meaningful business and technical solutions.

    The successful candidate will combine a strong understanding of manufacturing operations and quality processes with the ability to communicate technology clearly to audiences ranging from plant-floor users and engineers to IT leaders and senior executives.

    This is a remote U.S. position located within the Eastern or Central Time Zone with travel to customer locations as required.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Serve as the technical subject matter expert for Connected Worker and Q-DAS solutions throughout the sales cycle.

    • Partner with Account Executives to qualify opportunities and understand customers' operational, technical, and business requirements.

    • Lead technical discovery sessions with stakeholders across Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, Engineering, Continuous Improvement, IT, and Digital Transformation.

    • Translate customer challenges and requirements into solution recommendations that demonstrate measurable operational and business value.

    • Deliver compelling product demonstrations tailored to specific customer workflows, use cases, industries, and business objectives.

    • Help customers identify opportunities to improve workforce productivity, process consistency, quality, and operational performance.

    • Consult with customers around use cases including digital work instructions, operator enablement, knowledge capture, standard work, quality management, statistical process control, manufacturing data analysis, and continuous improvement.

    • Work alongside Account Executives throughout complex enterprise sales cycles, from initial discovery through technical validation and close.

    • Assist sales teams in developing account strategies and identifying additional technical use cases within strategic customers.

    • Support responses to RFIs, RFPs, technical questionnaires, security reviews, and other customer evaluation requirements.

    • Identify technical risks or barriers within opportunities and develop strategies to address them.

    • Serve as a voice of the customer by providing structured feedback to Product Management regarding customer requirements, market needs, competitive capabilities, and product opportunities.

    • Maintain a strong understanding of the Connected Worker and Q-DAS product roadmaps and effectively communicate relevant capabilities to customers and sales teams.

    • Stay current on manufacturing technology trends, including digital transformation, Industry 4.0, quality management, statistical process control, connected worker technology, and manufacturing analytics.

    • Maintain awareness of competitive technologies and clearly articulate Hexagon's differentiation.

    • Participate in trade shows, customer events, webinars, workshops, and industry conferences as a technical representative of Hexagon.

    • Provide technical guidance and product expertise to Account Executives and other members of the commercial organization.

    Qualifications

    • 4+ years of experience in technical sales, sales engineering, solution consulting, applications engineering, manufacturing software, quality technology, or a related customer-facing technical role.

    • Experience working within or selling technology into manufacturing environments.

    • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production operations, quality management, or continuous improvement.

    • Ability to conduct effective technical discovery and translate customer requirements into solution recommendations.

    • Strong presentation and demonstration skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.

    • Experience working with enterprise customers and navigating organizations with multiple technical and business stakeholders.

    • Ability to communicate effectively with plant-floor personnel, engineers, quality professionals, operations leaders, IT organizations, and executive stakeholders.

    • Strong problem-solving and consultative skills.

    • Ability to manage multiple opportunities and technical evaluations simultaneously.

    • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while collaborating across a geographically distributed organization.

    • Ability and willingness to travel throughout the United States for customer meetings, demonstrations, workshops, trade shows, and internal meetings.

    • Experience with Q-DAS or statistical process control (SPC) software.

    • Experience with Connected Worker platforms, digital work instructions, manufacturing operations software, MES/MOM, quality management software, or manufacturing analytics.

    • Knowledge of statistical quality methods and manufacturing quality processes.

    • Understanding of manufacturing data collection, process monitoring, inspection data, and quality reporting.

    • Experience working with discrete manufacturing organizations in industries such as automotive, aerospace & defense, industrial equipment, electronics, medical device, or other advanced manufacturing sectors.

    • Familiarity with enterprise manufacturing technology environments including ERP, MES/MOM, QMS, PLM, and other manufacturing systems.

    • Experience supporting enterprise software demonstrations, pilots, proofs of concept, and technical evaluations.

    • Familiarity with SaaS and cloud-based enterprise software solutions.
