Technical Sales Representative

Experience in epoxy resins, curing compounds, repair mortars, grouts, general concrete repair, and use of pumping and mixing systems. Assist with the preparation of technical documents / literature for architects, engineers, contractors and distributors, and write and maintain Power Point presentations.

Compensation: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00


Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to architects, engineers, contractors, and distributors to advise on proper material selection for specific applications.
• Review of architectural blueprints, details, and specifications to advise on proper material selection for specific applications.
• Draft specifications and details for architects, engineers, contractors, and distributors.
• Assist with the preparation of technical documents / literature for architects, engineers, contractors and distributors, and write and maintain Power Point presentations.
• Conduct seminars for architects, distributors, contractors and other construction professionals.
• Hands on ability to demonstrate product use is a requirement.
• Investigate/settle customer service & product complaints diplomatically & professionally within authorized limits.
• Must be a skilled writer.
• Handle input/requests from sales/field personnel and update job file system.
• Identify and forward leads to sales department.
• Maintain professional conduct.
• Some travel may be necessary but is not often.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in construction industry.
• 2 years in technical support of a building material or product preferred.
• Physical strength to lift and carry minimum of 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of architecture and construction practices and materials.
• Knowledge of competitive materials is preferred.
• Technical communication and presentation abilities (some of which is on short notice).
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
• Intermediate knowledge of and functional proficiency in ERP and CRM systems.
• Team Cooperation - maintain positive, cooperative attitude with all employees and all customers.
