    Designs and delivers customized solutions, develops and maintains technical expertise, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes.

    Job Requirements

    • Designing and developing customized applications/solutions for customers, working closely with internal stakeholders.
    • Providing advanced technical support to customers, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.
    • Collaborating with design engineering to develop new products and features, providing input on technical considerations.
    • Developing and maintaining technical documentation and training materials for sales staff.

    What your background should look like

    Position Summary

    Field-based technical business development role responsible for generating PCB-level design wins with design houses, and contract manufacturers. The role engages early in the design cycle, matches customer requirements to TE solutions, and converts opportunities into production revenue.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop new opportunities with design houses, and contract manufacturers.
    • Drive design-ins from technical discovery and component selection through sampling, qualification, award, and production.
    • Identify new platforms, redesigns, second-source, standardization, cost-reduction, and share-gain opportunities.
    • Conduct design reviews, engineering workshops, product demonstrations, and sample evaluations.
    • Build relationships with engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, quality, and executive stakeholders.
    • Position TE switches, passives, identification products, and related PCB technologies.
    • Coordinate product management, engineering, FAE, operations, pricing, quality, distributors, and manufacturer representatives.
    • Manage pipeline, forecasts, quotations, competition, next actions, and conversion timing in CRM.
    • Monitor customer, market, technology, and competitor developments across the territory.

    Performance Measures:

    • New design wins and new customer opportunities.
    • Qualified pipeline growth and conversion to production revenue.
    • Market-share gain and increased TE content per platform.
    • Pipeline quality, forecast accuracy, and opportunity progression.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
    • 5+ years of technical sales, FAE, business development, or account-management experience in electronic components or related technologies.
    • Knowledge of PCB applications and component selection; switches, passives, electromechanical, or identification experience preferred.
    • Proven ability to develop engineering relationships and convert technical opportunities into production business.
    • Strong communication, negotiation, business, and cross-functional leadership skills.
    • Fluent written and spoken English and Spanish.
    • Ability to work independently and travel frequently.
