Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager II – Electrical Hardware to support the development of next-generation Augmented Reality (AR) wearable devices. This role focuses on electrical hardware development, printed circuit board (PCB) fabrication, flexible circuits, and multi-layer board (MLB) design releases.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience coordinating electrical engineering teams, managing PCB development from design through production, overseeing manufacturing builds, and collaborating with contract manufacturers and vendors across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong program manager to contribute to innovative wearable technology and drive complex hardware development programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end design releases for flexible circuits (flexes) and multi-layer boards (MLBs), from early design through production.

  • Coordinate PCB fabrication activities, including schematics, layouts, design documentation, and vendor approvals.

  • Partner with electrical engineers and cross-functional teams to develop flexible circuits and rigid printed circuit boards.

  • Manage Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Final Assembly, Test, and Pack (FATP) builds, ensuring schedule adherence, quality, and yield optimization.

  • Lead vendor and contract manufacturer (CM) engagements across the APAC region, including flex vendor management and supplier readiness.

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, build matrices, timelines, and product release milestones.

  • Identify potential risks, track dependencies, communicate project status, and proactively drive issue resolution.

  • Collaborate with design engineers to support design for manufacturability (DFM) and smooth transitions from design to production.

  • Coordinate cross-functional meetings and communicate effectively with engineering teams, suppliers, and stakeholders across different time zones.

  • Accommodate occasional schedule flexibility to support collaboration with APAC vendors.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical hardware development, PCB development, electrical design, or related engineering/program management roles.

  • Demonstrated ownership of PCB/PCBA design releases, including flexible circuits and multi-layer boards.

  • Experience managing SMT and FATP builds from planning through execution.

  • Hands-on experience managing APAC contract manufacturers and engaging with flex circuit vendors.

  • Familiarity with PCB layouts, schematics, build matrices, and design for manufacturability.

  • Strong project planning, scheduling, risk management, and cross-functional coordination skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with engineering teams and external suppliers to deliver product milestones on time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing AR wearables, wearable devices, or consumer electronics products.

  • Knowledge of electrical component integration in compact form factors.

  • Familiarity with advanced PCB fabrication processes, materials, and manufacturing requirements.

  • Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) and hardware development through production.

Education

A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is preferred but not required. Relevant hands-on experience and technical expertise are highly valued.

What Makes This Opportunity Exciting?

  • Contribute to the development of next-generation AR wearable technology.

  • Work closely with electrical engineers, hardware design teams, and global manufacturing partners.

  • Take ownership of critical hardware development milestones and manufacturing readiness.

  • Gain exposure to complex, cross-functional engineering programs in a fast-paced technology environment.
