Technical Project Manager

This program requires enterprise architecture, technology modernization, project management, and systems integration support for a complex enterprise information technology environment. The program focuses on assessing, designing, implementing, governing, and continuously improving enterprise technology capabilities to ensure they align with organizational objectives, operational requirements, security standards, and evolving business needs.

The effort includes enterprise architecture development, technology assessments, modernization planning, project delivery oversight, governance support, requirements management, and strategic technology planning. Services encompass the development of current-state and future-state architectures, technology roadmaps, architecture governance processes, system lifecycle management, requirements traceability, risk management, performance monitoring, and solution delivery oversight. The program supports the successful planning, implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of mission-critical enterprise systems while promoting scalability, interoperability, security, resilience, and long-term operational sustainability.

Position Description: This position will play a pivotal role in the system development cycle and consult with end users to evaluate business requirements into design specifications. You will work with all levels of the business, ensuring IT deliverables align with business requirements, with measurable results. This is a hybrid role requiring being on-site based on customer needs.

Requirements

•        Conduct the Decennial Engineering Working Group (EWG)

•        Manage and coordinate activities among multiple teams.

•        Ensure that solutions developed by the team conform to the quality standards and fit the relevant application architecture specified, including the use of tools, platforms, techniques and design patterns.

•        Partner with Business Analysts, Enterprise Architecture as well as Security, Quality Assurance and Infrastructure teams.

•        Efficiently manage the schedule and resources of the EWG

•        Effectively manage all team member resources allocated for the project.

•        Ensure the certification and knowledge levels of project team personnel are always current and comprehensive and that they can provide the highest level of professional assistance to customers.

•        Plan the delivery of services listed in the EWG Roadmap.

•        Develop a plan and schedule with the customer and EWG Board for optimum delivery of project, to ensure integration of software with existing infrastructure, systems and applications.

•        Maintain progress reviews of project tasks and team member assignments.

Required Skills

•        Project Management and coordination experience.

• Bachelors Degree and 12 years of related experience

•        Strong Technical background in architecture or development area

•        SDLC experience.

•        Software development, Infrastructure background preferred.

•        Experience with MS Office, including MS Project and SharePoint.

•        Experience with Jira.

•        Experience working with customers and stakeholders.

•        Experience maintaining schedules, risks, and issues.

•        Experience developing and updating PowerPoint briefings for customer meetings.

•        Experience developing and updating project metrics.

•        Experience capturing meeting notes and actions items to resolution.

•        Experience working in a fluid/changing/fast paced environment; requires minimal guidance.

Preferred Skills

•        Hands on experience with AWS GovCloud

•        Proposal writing and coordination experience, demonstrated understanding of cost estimation and basis of estimate definition.

•        US Census Bureau Experience preferred.
